Did you know #Fiat and #Governments are the main driver for the increase of CO2 emissions? Don’t believe me?
Let’s take a look at the building sector:
Per produced metric ton of cement 587kg of CO2 or equivalents are emitted. In China alone there are 65 million empty houses, which were built because of government regulations that lead the Chinese people to only be able to invest in real estate to keep their wealth. For a single family home you’ll need around 110 cubic meters of concrete, which means around 220 tonnes of concrete. A fifth of the mass of the concrete is made up by cement. Hence we need 44 tonnes of cement per single family home, which is causes 25.83 tonnes of CO2 equivalents to be released into the environment per single family home.
This means the empty houses that were built by the Chinese people, to store their buying power because they have no other choice as the money debases so quickly, caused 1.68 trillion tonnes of CO2 to be released into the atmosphere.
If people had hard money they didn’t need to build houses nobody needs and we would emit much less CO2. And please note this calculation includes China alone - how would it look like if we included the empty office buildings all around the world?
