"content": "Geology is a fun subject 😏 the earths crust has layers or rings showing it's age like a tree trunk does. It basically recycles everything on the surface over a period of a hundred thousand years or so . Much too slow for any one of us to notice in any given lifetime, much like evolution. Not to say we came from apes, I believe we've always been our own species that's been going through evolution like everything else. Fossil records of \"extinct\" animals could actually be still here but have changed over the millenia through selection processes depending on what favored what in whichever conditions were present. One example of that are dogs. Human intervention was part of the process but it's still an evolutionary process where we selected for whatever the best traits were for whichever task we needed them for be it pest control or herding cattle or for protection or just plain loyal companionship.",
