The alt-text, or generally the image description, depends not only on the image, but also on
[list][*]the context (what is essential within the context, what is important, what isn't)
[*]the audience (what does the audience [i]need[/i] to know to get the image, what does the audience already know, what may the audience [i]want[/i] to know about the image, what is the audience likely not to care about)[/list]
So when you post the exact same image twice in two different contexts to two different audiences, you are likely to have to supply two very different image descriptions.
