My new desk mat arrived today, tightly rolled up in a tall, narrow box. So, I had to put some heavy objects on it.
It feels like a paradoxical heresy to use "Gravitation" (Misner, Thorne, Wheeler) to flatten it out, but it seems to be doing its job.
