I'm in a very good place right now at 24. I was extraordinarily lucky to get where I am now.
But if someone had done that to me at the age of 18, when I still felt like a literal child, instead of helping me work towards and achieve what I wanted to do with my life, I'd feel really really fucking hurt and our relationship would be pretty severely impacted.
