Two years ago today I was hiking back from Mount Royal and typing out my regular solstice well wishes when I learned my brother had stopped breathing.
He was just 43, but COVID took a manageable health issue and made it lethal. We lost him that day, and my relationship with public health and misinformation was forever changed.
