Usually every few months I'll find myself staying up late going down dark rabbit holes about this shit. One I remember hearing about recently was this Japanese cannibal who was studying in France in the 70s, and he killed a female classmate, chopped her up and stored her meat in his fridge. Once the rest of the body started to smell he packed it up in a suitcase and dumped it in a river. Eventually he was caught and deported back to Japan, but he wasn't prosecuted because the crime was committed outside Japan. So he lives a free man.
Most fucked up part is that he took photos of the woman's body, and he routinely invited prostitutes over and showed the pics to them saying "I wish I could do this to you".
