There is no particular benefit to being an early adopter of Nostr, as is the case with Bitcoin.
For instance, Saifedean Ammous (to name just one example of countless) could start becoming active here today, or next year. It wouldn't make any difference for him. In fact, one could argue that he'd be better off just waiting and seeing how things develop, and staying on X until then.
