I recently learned about Fuxi.
Very interesting myth of an androgynous amphibious being resembling 2 serpents much like the Caduceus and the interweaving pattern of Ida and Pingala.
The presence of masculine and feminine intertwined is reminiscent of the yang and yin formation, Shiva and Shakti, Alpha and Omega, Aleph and Teth, Ka and Ba, God the Father and the Holy Spirit, etc.
Kingship is part of the legend as is an Annunaki-like origin to the first man and first woman story.
Ties into the perennialist perspective beautifully. Taoism is well aligned with many traditions. Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu are great.
