I too thought a Collection creates an album, but it doesn't seem to. But, it is merely a bunch of links to local public posts, and visiting a collection just presents the constituent posts which you then can individually visit.
A seamless album whose link I can send to others is what I was hoping to build so that non-tech folks can easily view pictures.
