Fascinating. Just been learning about UID2.0 and ID5, two similar technologies that essentially mean many different internet publishers can assign the same random identifier to me, and have that identifier follow me round the internet serving me advertising and snooping on me. Quite appalling. (It doesn’t come as a surprise that neither of them are clear if they’re GDPR-compliant).
