Bestie: But the fireworks on the 4th of July must have freaked him out. Because right after that he showed up here.
Me: What??
Bestie: Oh, yes. So he lives here now, and he roosts in a tree on that street. Around 8 pm every night, he climbs into a tree and all the neighbors watch him.
Me: He just...ascends.
Bestie: [eating her bagel] That's what they do.
