Intelligence is the ability to solve unexpected problems through creative behaviour.
And I often think that humans should never have become more intelligent than chimpanzees, all of our problems began with that development. We could be happy apes not caring about anything than grooming each other, mating, and eating fruit. Instead we have to deal with existential dread and Capitalism. Our heads are so large that mothers need assistance while giving birth to reduce the risk of death. And we have created this horrible industrial system which destroys the entire biosphere and causes a new mass extinction.
