I don't think there will suddenly be an explosion in crime. The current levels are sufficient. And, no, I have not felt safe in my home since Nov 14, 2021, when someone broke into my mother's home and shot her in her bed. The cops can't even find who did it, so not much help there.
My point, though, didn't have anything to do with my feelings of security or lack thereof. It was to illustrate that I recognize and accept that social organization is imperative to human survival, and govs are just
