You can get an RSS feed for any Mastodon Account by appending ".rss" to the URL.
My local public transit - npub13qwf6fhw9tgv4ms22rqle79qkqap2rrxfkp62ull3zey6q9xdh5se943zh (npub13qw…43zh) - runs a mastodon account and also provides info about service disruptions there. So i just subscribe to that account, instead using Apps like Telegram or Notify for it. No ads, no tracking.
