Mr. V (nprofile…vdk4) I use multilib on this machine too, and runc built fine. You are supposed to have both Go compilers, only one of them would take precedence. Did you try running: "source /etc/profile" in the root shell before installing runc, and after installing google-go-lang?
I use Slackware because I want to take control (and responsibility) over things working and breaking, manual dependency management is a feature that makes my life easier; it exposes to me what things depend on what other things, and I get familiar with all software working on the machines I administer. I never use tools that take that hide or automate things from me like sbopkg and slapt-get and such. I like doing it my way, with some shallow quality of life scripts that I wrote myself.
Like I said, if it still doesn't work, and you want to investigate further, build runc yourself without SlackBuilds, and go from there. Another route is to replicate your environment slowly in a chroot. Apologies if this sounds like too much, I come from a mindset of "every user is also a maintainer / developer". Not sure how to help otherwise, because the issue does not replicate on my machines.
