The inherent possibility of humans using violence to steal possessions creates a fundamental incentive towards violence. This scales up to nations, where armies are used to achieve goals through war, leading to the war industry becoming the largest industry.
Emergence of Bitcoin in 2009 has started a paradigm shift in human interaction . Since Bitcoin cannot be stolen through violence, it reverses violence based incentive structure to a negitiation based one. To obtain value, negotiation and mutual exchange are required. This new incentive at the root of human interaction will scale us up to a significantly more peaceful civilization.
