I had the idea earlier due to another conversation but for devs who can't take donations because their countries have stupid laws about that (and not because of anonymity concerns)... why not just sell merch with some shitty logo, scribble, "Proud supporter of project XYZ" or whatever?
There are readily-available services for that which don't take a huge cut that one could use for that, and it wouldn't run into *any* of the donation regulations.
