There’s an understandable popular trend among USian queer folks that highlights the burning of the archives of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft in May 1933 and places queer and particularly trans folks in a primary place of victimhood of the Nazi regime.
The thing is it’s only partly correct, and I think it’s important to fill in the details.
