The stupidest thing about daily living in the UK is the need for phone calls.
I got a referral to a doctor. It was emailed and sent to the hospital. They ignored it. I contacted the hospital over their "book appointment online" form, and they ignored it once again. I phoned the hospital and they booked me in right away.
Things like this happened to me so many times I start to think that people of this country secretly hate emails and purposefully ignore them.
