You can now pay to hide your likes from your profile on Twitter/X.
The problem with creating subscription tiers for consumer social software products is that you end up building features that are really valuable to everyone’s experience like editing posts and privacy features but then only give them to richer users.
All this, and companies will still need to run ads to pay the bills as Snapchat & Twitter/X. The paid consumer social model will need IAPs & whales to be truly free of ads.
