The biggest issue is that it all revolves around 1 client, Warpcast, which is closed source and has the vast-VAST majority of the usage. The founders of Warpcast are also the founders of the protocol, so sometimes the lines get blurred as to what happens on an protocol level vs their client level.
In fact, many of the articles are mistakenly reporting that Farcaster raised the $150M when it is techanically just the company behind Warpcast that raised the funds
