Found some VHS footage of an old Japanese kidnapping-murder in Nagoya City on 2ch, thought it was historically interesting because violent crime in Japan is rare and footage of the crime in action is even rarer. I can't find any English language articles about this.

The story goes that 10 yakuza dressed as construction workers ambushed a pimp on his way home, forced him into the trunk of their car and shot him dead. His body was dismembered, mixed in a steel drum with concrete, and dumped into a river.

The main culprit was a member of the Yamaguchi-gumi, which today is one of the largest and most powerful organized criminal organizations in the world. The accomplices were Japanese-Brazilians working for a temporary staffing agency run by the Yakuza (Brazil has the largest Japanese population outside of Japan), as well as an "unemployed" woman (prostitute?). The men returned to Brazil after the crime and remained wanted for almost 20 years before they were only recently arrested in San Paolo. I can't find a motive, but it's not hard to speculate the reasons an organized gang might burn a pimp. I can't find the fate of the criminals either.

It's not clear if the woman screaming for help is the man's neighbor or was a prostitute. The story goes that she was also killed later in order to eliminate witnesses, but there's no news articles stating that. The crime happened only 500 meters from a police station. A lot of things point to Yakuza controlling the media and police response, and it's important to note that the Yakuza has only grown in power since 2001.
