I think the happiness most envision doesn’t actually exist. It’s a dream to chase. One can never be happy all the time so the word is pointless. You can feel good in the moment and be content overall with your life’s direction but you can never be happy. I think that is what makes it so appealing - a moving, unachievable goal.
