I don't know if I agree with that - they were sick way less often than my American friends - fresh food, local butcher, baker, seasonal fruits/veggies from farms. Americans had a shite diet - Koolaid, sugary cereals, sodas, fast food, frozen dinners, white bread --which required the supplements.
