#writerscoffeeclub Mar 8: Do you have a favourite opening line of a book?
I don't remember the first lines of books, so I don't have a favourite. Also, I'm not really one for the classics.
I do expect a book to hook me in the first chapter. I've been known to bail on books if they don't 🙂.
As Dune is currently trending, I do like the way each chapter begins with a quote related to the teachings of Paul Maud dib, like passages from the bible.
I did something similar in Zero Magenta 🙂.
