And speaking of #MetroCard, yes, I've engaged in the #NewYorker rite of swiping it multiple (3~4) times to get into the #subway... It's weird how everything else takes the entire card, but not subway turnstiles...
Of course, people ask me why I don't use mobile tap?
1. I dislike having NFC on all the time, risk of card theft
2. Authorization can be slow (but yes, faster than 3~4 swipes)
3. Inconvenient if somehow declined (happened before)
4. I like to collect tickets (+ SmartLink & OMNY card)
