It's not an unreasonable question to ask why a guy would call himself "male feminist" unironically. I never suggest that I fit that and just let people around me judge that. While I'm heavily socially inept I actually got never called sexist or misogynist ever, many women assume I'm gay because I don't treat them worse than men. I just think oldschool radfem theory (Dworkin, MacKinnon) and Lacanian feminist psychoanalysis (Irigaray, Kristeva) are good reads. If men wanted to further the cause I would suggest organizing with other men and "fixing" the problem of male sex socialization rather then fifth-weeling to feminist orgs (except when they ask for it or need a "computer guy")
