They've been doing that forever. People already have established places to move, those places have been around forever too.
I just don't think social media is worth the hype. People don't really care about it, I think most of us agree it's somewhere between a waste of time and semi-useful self promotional tool if not an absolute nadir of toxicity, retardation and shallowness.
People do give a shit about productivity, creating things, utility. If Dropbox started censoring users based on the content of their files I think you'd see a mass exodus. I think Nostr will be a protocol on which a lot of utility is built, like the calendar stuff and highlighter things Pablo is building. Nostr un-silos user data, the "lifeblood" of productivity/utility apps.
But the social media space is probably a good one to explore at the start to learn and develop ideas.
