Sexual Generosity [within the confines of a biblical marriage] - Kyle Idleman, Southeast Chrstian Church
A couple of takeaways from the sermon:
1) Healthy intimate/sexual relations reinforce the connection to God. Imagine that God is observing how you are treating your spouse (his son/daughter). If you treat his child poorly, then will he be more or less likely to be generous with you?
2) Oxytocin reinforces the bond between sexual partners and between mother and child. When you watch porn for sexual gratification, what does that oxytocin cause you to bond more strongly to? It causes you to bond more strongly to yourself. To put it another way, it reinforces to idea that sex is about self. Sex was never supposed to be about self, but rather, it was supposed to be about your partner.
