I can’t quite get past the idea that none of these three next-generation social network services are thinking differently from Twitter. They’re all taking pages out of Twitter’s playbook. They’re all designed similarly. They may have slightly different functionality in some spaces, but most of that seems temporary. All three teams have indicated they are building things that get their product *closer* to Twitter, rather than further away.
And no one seems to be asking *why.*
