Having the opportunity to have been taught or to grow up speaking the lingua franca, aka #English, is a *privilege* that not everyone has - including many valuable free, open source developers. English may be dominant, but when #Wordpress initially explored/adopted #nginx, which made it a household name, at the time the docs were almost entirely in Russian. Many FOSS repos have docs and issues primarily in Chinese. FOSS is bigger than the English speaking world.
