The siege is over but the war goes on. Ken Lussey’s new novel ‘The Eye of Horus’ is an atmospheric World War Two thriller with settings that move from the Highlands of Scotland via Gibraltar to Malta.

Portree on the Isle of Skye is visited by the two central characters at the start of the story. Many of the buildings seen in this modern photograph of part of Portree harbour would have been here at the time.
