The most important thing I see failing time and time again, in myself and in the people around me, is having a clear vision and milestones to achieve it.

I've found that having a 5 year vision (inserted in an overall life vision, dream, etc) of where we would like to be is absolutely fundamental. A vision with what kind of work (career, business, personal, etc), what kind of life, what kind of people around me, etc, etc, with as many specifics as possible, etc, is fundamental to answer the why are we doing anything and to avoid falling into cycles of nihilism, negativity and fear. At least in my personal experience.

Writing a 5 year vision/dream and then daily looking into it and confirm that we're tasks are aligned with it I think has a lot to it. It's the answer to the "what AND why do I really have to do right now?". The question/answer to that question then becomes, "where do I want to be in 5 years (remembering that, bringing that to mind, visualizing, inspiring ourselves on that dream/vision) and then using the left part of the brain "how can I do more today to get to that specific vision more real today"?" becomes the habit and flow. Every task we do today becomes incredibly meaningful that way.

It's a form of CBT also I think. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Visualization and then focus. It's a form of getting into the mindset of abundance AND focusing on the tasks, goals, path. I think we absolutely need to see where we're going to get there. Can we really get anywhere without a map?

The 5 year vision/dream and the intermediate milestones are one of my treatments for fear, nihilism and setbacks. Just remembering/"vibing" in the frequency (imagining, visualizing, consciously seeing it) that there is a possible dream and that I maybe can get there completely changes my daily attitude and mood.

Without a vision, plan, roadmap, we can't go anywhere because we don't know where we want to go.

For example, I really don't think it's a coincidence that Buddhism for example, described 2500 years ago Right View (vision) as the first step to a better life (the 8th fold path). All modern psychological methods are also based around this (although often therapists fail to use it). The Greeks called it "know thyself" and they wrote it at the top of their most prized Temple of Apollo in Athens.

Do you really know yourself and where you'd like to go? Do you have that written down and remind yourself of that daily?

Writing it down maybe will help see things more clearly, bringing much more focus and clarity to everything. Writing is thinking as they say.

Anyways, just wanted to share these thoughts. Have a great day on your side. Visualize and keep grinding. We're all together on that path :)
