Andrew Poelstra lays out what we all suspected but didn’t want to admit. Tldr: the blockchain needs to store data and people will find other ways to do it if inscriptions are blocked. Possibly ways even more harmful.
So for now we’ll just need to put up with it and hope fees start rising soon.
