UPDATE: I finally found the power saving setting on the TV and turned it off! Thank you to the Fediverse for all of your advice! The hard part is that it was in an odd place: under settings in "screen saver" of all things.
I'm hoping that having her TV on as long as she wants will keep my mom out of trouble. You can feel good about the fact that you had a part in it. Thank you. Thank you!
