Just bought a Cambridge University Press book from Amazon Aus. No ebk was available, so I thought I was buying a pbk printed by CUP.
But when it arrived: “manufactured by Amazon Aus.” So it was print-on-demand! The quality is fine, but I didn’t realise POD was so mainstream now.
I have POD editions of my own self-published titles, and I've seen them for some small press books, but this is the first time I’ve come across it for a book from a major publisher.
