love this article you shared. This is UX working as intended. We used to call it usability, where we indeed prioritised how usable something was. But when it was rebranded to "user experience", it was sold to companies as to what benefits it could have to companies to focus on usability. Thus user experience is now measured by how it benefits companies, not how usable something is.
UX nowadays means User Exploitation.
