How would I know but I highly doubt the owner taking a loss. Only seen an increase in egg prices for the first time recently as well. I honestly cant think of anything I buy regularly that is noticiably more expensive (other than the dollar more per dozen eggs, and I would happily pay much more for these if I had to).
