The scale of platforms like BlueSky are a huge factor as well. They're a bottomless pit of content, so if you're addictively scrolling in search of a hit you never really hit rock bottom. You just keep going.
I've been scribbling down my thoughts on this tonight and taken a few side trips, but the issue of scale of a big one. And for multiple reasons.
But one of them has to do with rejection, and the amplification of feeling insignificant.
