Meta-learning is the way to go for a Muslim.

There are two paradigms of learning, namely consumer learning and producer learning.

If a learner wants to understand the current way of things and just apply them, in other words consume the knowledge, reshape it, and then repeat it, consumer learning is enough for that learner.

However, if one wants to act like the vicegerent of Allahu Teala in expanding the anthropic knowledge horizon, that learner must be a producer learner. And although there might be multiple ways of becoming a producer learner, meta-learning is one of the most straightforward ways.

Meta-learning can be summarized as learning to learn and extracting patterns across history to comprehend why new concepts and paths emerge in their own contexts. If one understands the reason for the emergence of novel paradigms throughout the history, that learner can determine the needs of the current state and produce knowledge, potentially altering the course of history for better. However, producer learning requires a total understanding over contemporary frameworks, and therefore it is much harder.

The producer path for the Muslim is simple, but difficult. Nonetheless, if the Muslim truly internalizes his task in this mortal world, Allahu Taala will guide him inshaAllah.
