my bf's student fraternity has a "frat house" in the center of the city where the guys can live extremely cheap, think 250EUR for room and shared meals. but that only works because the former students who lived there pay 300 EUR a year to finance the house and the students. I think that's a great way tbh compared to public student dorms that are usually extremely filthy and decrepit
