Reassuring to be be early to things sometimes (and comfortable being ridiculed) before becoming more widely adopted. Annual phonebook calls to every skihill in Midwest inquiring if snowboards would be welcome in mid 80's was consistent rejection. Flipped a lot of burgers to save up for that Sims board that year.
