New York Post: FBI Investigates Cartel de los Soles Ringleaders in the US
The FBI is stepping up investigations into a cartel with ties to Venezuela's regime, along with anyone deemed to have “dirty business” involving Nicolás Maduro, The New York Post has learned. The agency's primary target is the so-called Cartel de los Soles, whose leadership includes members of the Venezuelan military. Businessmen, financiers and other cartels will face the possibility of U.S. justice, said a source familiar with the agency's discussions. “It's a big undertaking, but if it succeeds it will be historic. Anyone with blood-soaked dollars in their pocket should be worried,” the person added. “Just like Trump took out ISIS, that will be a full-throttle task for this administration. It's a big pillar of the 'America First' movement and making America safe. Close the border, get the criminals out, stop the flow of drugs, and make sure they don't come back,” this person said.
