Whelp, this is embarrassing. The damned logs I tried to dry out some time ago have mushrooms sprouting on em. Ain't educated enough to discern the species, so I'm in no hurry to start harvesting or farming them lol, but I think the wood is fucked for my intended use.
At least I can always cut down more, but damn.
