I find Germany's disregard for personal document safety INSANE. In my time in Berlin, I had to leave as deposit the following items:
- an ID to rent a tiny boat
- a set of keys to rent a key to a gym locker at a squash place (they also asked for my home address)
- any personal document to order drinks at a bar on a tab instead of paying immediately
In all those cases, I didn't. But one of my friends did.
This shit is ILLEGAL in Poland because it can get you your identity stolen #InfoSec
