Mastodon 4.2 is now running on the instance I’m on, and I don’t much like it. Beyond the search stuff (yeah, I get it, but I also understand why the addition was contentious), it now shows the full bounding box of images, even with “Always hide media” selected, so when someone posts a tall image, I can now have multiple (portrait mode) screenfuls of blank space to scroll past. Well, isn’t that SPECIAL? #Mastodon
