Yesterday my telegram account got banned for no proper reason - only thing that’s changed is I’m currently traveling & my IP is from an African country.
I found myself sending emails to their support team begging to unban it - still no response.
This is why we need truly decentralized protocols.
Any nostr client with nip04 (encrypted DMs) enabled fixes this but the challenge is adoption.
How do we move our contacts, groups etc to using a client like this - even the nostr dev channel is hosted on Telegram not a nostr client 😅
