I consider Nostrich (npub1khd…y9x4) to be Public Domain 🤙
#nostr *itself* is Public Domain (see link), and jack (npub1sg6…f63m) and others have noted the importance of this.
I think it would be antithetical to the idea of #nostr to copyright the #Nostrich — let’s keep it open so everyone can contribute their creativity freely.
I have a paid license to use Midjourney, so I technically have commercial use rights on any images I create, but wouldn’t enforce them punitively on others.
People have asked my permission before using the original Nostrich image for articles, and I appreciate that. I say feel free to use it but just give credit.
I also think with nostr making Lightning easy to use, it’s a great way to give value for value.
Like a particular Nostrich image and want to use it? Credit the creator (seems to be just me and Compromised (npub1z4m…na6p) so far) and maybe send a few sats.
