Safer spaces, isolated and protected, are not to be treated as less than, as refusal to participate.
Your lofty idea of what a community *should* be may as well alienate *actual* communities that are simply telling you: we won’t engage with abusers, and if you remove the tools we use to defend ourselves, we’ll leave.
